FAB 4 MAKEOVER

Take your drab powder room and make it paradise! My "FAB 4" makeover consists of a budget under $400. Yes, it's possible! Wainescoating for the walls - about 5' up, thin decorative trim for the top! I decided not to go with the pine but with the vinyl - easy to clean, no need to paint the vinyl - but it is paintable if you decided to change your theme! Yes, bland and beige - still had the contractor's "upgrades"! Decided to keep the flooring - pretty simple tiles with a beige/pink hue - it was easy to downplay the floor keeping everything else bright. I applied two coats of Painter's Touch Gloss white to the existing cabinets, spray painted the hardware with Painter's Touch Gloss White spray.
I added a fresh coat of crystal blue paint for the walls, keeping the wainescoating crisp, clean white! For this size powder room, one quart of paint is plenty! Decided to recycle the existing mirror, add a subtle touch by applying a thin white trim around. Removed all of the old caulk adding new caulk -- wow, what a huge difference!
The finishing touches are always fun, new towel ring, toilet paper rack to match - also new light and faucet! Sensational picture of the beach with two adorondack chairs -I ebayed for about $12 (which should arrive shortly)!
The wainescoating totally brightens up the small sized powder room - adding dimension and a bit of texture! Talk about perfection - the color of the ocean blue paint! Here's the approximate budget which I really had to stick to. Give or take $10.
